Are you thinking about buying lenses for your phone, or know someone who is? Well here’s something to bear in mind before you make your final decision. If you can try before you buy.
Padding on a lens clip, gives a soft, firm, protective grip that won’t damage your screen or case. Avoid single-piece plastic clips that can be brittle, inflexible and difficult to position. Without the ability to adjust the fitting, your phone may be too slim or too wide with your case on, for a good fit for the lens you’ve chosen.
Lenses must be positioned centrally over your phone lens. If this cannot be achieved because the lens clip is too short, you’re in trouble.
Fortunately the clips supplied with TRK lenses are long reach, hinged and have rubber pads on both sides. This means they can grip various thicknesses of phone screen protector and phone case, without slipping off or causing damage. The clip that comes with a 5in1 lens set is reinforced with a brass ring to stop the aluminium of the lens threading the plastic clip. Bonus!! It pays to try before you buy, but if you can’t please keep my fitting tips in mind.
Avoid using lenses that don’t give a clear image. Cleaning the lens, remounting it on its clip or repositioning it, will help in all cases but when your image is still fuzzy when it shouldn’t be, it might be a case of incompatible glass. Please let me know if you are having this problem. It pays to try before you buy, but if you can’t please keep these tips in mind.
Lenses come in lots of sizes and shapes, so make sure you find the one that does what you want it to do. Then go compare. It pays to try before you buy.
